Types of Corporate Debt We Do Not Accept

While we specialise in the recovery of legitimate and documented commercial debts, certain matters may fall outside our acceptance criteria.

We generally do not accept

  • Genuinely Disputed Debts – where the debtor has raised a substantial dispute concerning liability, contractual performance, goods, services or the amount claimed.

  • Undocumented Debts – where there is insufficient contractual, invoice or other documentary evidence to substantiate the claim.

  • Fraudulent or Unlawful Debts – where the underlying transaction appears to involve fraud, forged documentation, illegal activities or other unlawful conduct.

  • Debts Under Active Legal Proceedings – matters already subject to litigation, arbitration or other formal legal proceedings, unless otherwise agreed following appropriate review.

  • Insolvency-Related Claims – debts involving liquidation, judicial management, restructuring or other formal insolvency processes where specialist legal or insolvency procedures are required.

  • Time-Barred or Potentially Time-Barred Debts – claims where enforceability may be affected by applicable limitation periods.

  • Uncertain Ownership of Debt – where the creditor's legal entitlement or authority to recover the debt cannot be adequately established.

  • Unmatured or Conditional Debts – amounts that are not yet due and payable or remain subject to unresolved contractual conditions.

  • Unquantified Claims – claims for damages, compensation or other amounts that have not been sufficiently determined or established as a debt.

  • Material Counterclaims or Set-Offs – matters where the debtor has substantial counterclaims or set-off rights that materially affect the amount allegedly outstanding.

  • Matters Requiring Legal Determination – claims where the existence, validity or enforceability of the debt requires determination by a court, tribunal or qualified legal professional.

  • Requests for Unlawful Collection Practices – any engagement involving intimidation, harassment, threats or other practices that are inconsistent with applicable law or our professional standards.

All cases are subject to an initial assessment of the debt, supporting documentation and relevant circumstances. We reserve the right to decline any matter that does not meet our acceptance criteria or cannot be handled in accordance with applicable Singapore laws and regulatory requirements.
